Disable security certificate checking?

Hello,

I read through a previous question, but didn't see any replies that fixed the problem. Here's my situation:

I have a motherboard which somehow got damaged so that whenever it is powered off, the clock resets to sometime in 2002. I have replaced the CMOS battery, but that did not fix the problem. Now, whenever I turn the computer on and try to go to a website, it complains about an invalid security certificate.

While ideally I would like to fix the problem with the clock, I don't see any way to do that. As a next-best solution, I would like to disable the security certificate checking -- I don't do anything critical on this computer, and I can reload the OS if need be.

I'm running XP SP2.

Can anybody tell me how to disable security certificate checking?

Thanks!
