actually you can unistall it and revert back to IE6. Just got to control
panel and ad/remove programs. CHeck the show updates checkbox at the top. The
scroll down to the updates and there should be and IE7 preview one there.
Just click remove and restart and you are back to IE6.

Go to Control Panel.  Add/Remove Programs. Make sure "View Update" is
enabled.  You should see an entry to uninstall IE7.

If the entry does not appear, run the following command:

%windir%\$NtUninstallie7bet2p$\spuninst\spuninst.exe

Note that you need to enable "show hidden files and folders" via Control
Panel, Folder Options, View tab.

And what if I use CCleaner that deletes all uninstallers? MS support for one
care live told me to install CCleaner a couple of months ago. Can you send me
the uninstaller files?

In Control Panel, choose Add/Remove programs, check the "Show updates" box,
and scroll down to Windows XP updates.

Eric and Sandi, Thank you for your instructions but like I said...CCleaner
was installed on my machine by MS OneCare Live and they had it set to delete
all uninstallers. Is it possible to copy the uninstallers from a different
machine and paste them into c:\windows and then run the spunist file?

My computer is new and I do not have an uninstall option in the control panel
for IE7 nor can I locate the uninstall file listed earlier. I am desperate to
go back to an earlier version of IE--not at all pleased with the slow speed
and sluggish performance if IE7. I'm almost tempted to reformat the hard
drive just to get rid of it. Isn't there another way?

Hi Joni,

OS version? Vista comes with IE7 pre-installed and cannot be un-installed.
XP Professional SP2... IE7 is installed as an optional update and can be
uninstalled (and replaced by IE6) by choosing the option "Uninstall Internet
Explorer 7" from the Add/Remove Programs applet (Start>Control
Panel>Add/Remove Programs)

Regards.

Hi,
> My computer is new

If the OS is Vista, IE7 cannot be uninstalled.
