The feature, used to find text in a page worked very well in 2try4.com -
QUICKEST WEB SEARCH.

I have been looking for related topics on the find box, as the feature has
changed since ie6 and no longer allows the screen search available in
previous versions and Firefox.

The 2try4 search platform offers a fast search site comparison and displays
the quickest web search first.  Then the find feature was used to discover
the keyword in each screen.

The feature works on 2try4.com and 2try4.net with ie6, ie5, Firefox,
Netscape, etc.

I hope this feature works better in the final version.  This link would be a
good test ground

Hi Andy,

I like it. Great for testing your site's Search Engine penetration. A bit
overcomplicated for public searches though. It would be good if the Search
Engine selection could be customized like the A9 site.

IE7 has a limit on the number of Search Providers you can add so this site
enables you to extend the number of search providers that you can access
from the search bar.

Regards.

What is the limit? where is the info about it?
I've not had any problems adding many customized search providers.

Have you seen the new version? Similar to Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky", 2try4.
com offers the extra button. The new "PASS" button offers a practical and
quick function,  it will attempt to select the correct search type.

E.g. if you type "images dogs" it becomes " !images dogs " returning results
from top image search engines.

Try these search types too!

- !images
- !google
- !video (http://video.2try4.com)

It has many more search types as well as membership options.

A comment snipped on the MSDN subscription library blog ;

"We limit the number of discovered providers to a maximum of 3 providers not
already installed on the machine."
