Thank you, for your time and for the answer. That's what I was looking for.

why is it not part of the e-mail icon anymore? seems like a poor design or at
least when you right click a page it should be an option.
I feel it is a poor design because the file>Send>linkby email is not right
on my screen, have to hit ALT f to get to it. Someone was not thinking here!
any other ways to have it always have it as an option on my right click or
an option from the e-mail button?
thanks
mark

Left click on the small triangle to the right of the PAGE button on the
toolbar. You'll get a drop down list with SEND LINK BY EMAIL and SEND PAGE
BY EMAIL.

thanks! i guess I have to add one more button to the toolbar. seems kind of
a waste of space.

found the answer in a help file for atlantiswordprocessor.com (of all places -
these guys are good):
no default mail client. i had not yet made my test install of outlook the
default mail client. doing so makes it all work as designed.
