I don't know if it is related to the installation of IE7 or not. But item for all items in CD drive was displayed with IE icon by Windows Explore. The correct icons will be displayed only if I reboot the computer with the CD in the drive. Take Properties > Appearance > Effects... Do you see the Use Large Icons radio box checked? Uncheck it. Now Apply/OK your way out. Then, if you prefer large icons, reset them. Should work fine now.
