In another link in this forum I found the following solution. It worked for
me.
"go to http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
and then click on Download the Windows Flash Player 9 ActiveX control
content debugger (for IE) (EXE, 1.18 MB)
good luck

yes this does the trick for me too.. but the thing i don't understand is y
the need for a extra debugger if flsh player is already installed.. if this
is essential then y didn't adobe prebundle this with the flash player itself

I did this as well and it worked fine for a few hours and now its right back
to the same issue. I think that I am going to get Firefox until MS fixes this.

This worked like a charm for me. I wasn't getting errors, just some instances
where the flash content wasn't showing up.
Thanks ocpsduke!

I use vista 64 bit and there is no way that I could find to rectify "flash
player required for this web site", most annoying and after a whole lot of
searching I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION so hear it is:-
A utility that configers IE7 to look like IE6 and with that all the plug
in's of IE6 such as a Flash Player it is called "USER AGENT STRING UTILITY"
and hear is the web address,
"www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9517dbc-3c0d-47fe-bd04-fad82a9aac9f"
See how that works,
Good luck.

I tried this but Vista will not allow me to execute the download. I click on
allow but it just keeps popping up again. What now. As of now Vista is not
regonizing any Flash Player.

I have just had issues after a recent update, and I could not get Flash to be
recognised.
Solutions ended up being:-
Right click on IE and select Run as Administrator. If you are able to view
Flash content when running IE as admin, try the following:
Steps to Disable UAC (User Access Control) on Windows Vista
Open Control Panels
Select User Accounts
Disable UAC
Prompted to Reboot machine
Test Flash content running IE
