I loaded IE7 and rebooted as suggested.  Now, every time I open IE, instead
of my home page, I get http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx, but instead of
opening a setup page, I get a page error and a blank screen.  I can go ahead
and use IE7, but every time I open it, I get the runonce page again.  I
really don't want this for my homepage, so how can I fix it?  Thanks.

MS Servers are probably overloaded..

Once they're back up that message should go away.

I get the same error.

The error message is:
Line 55 Char 2
window.external is null or not an object

1) Go to "Run", type regedit and hit OK
2) Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\
3) Right click in the right side panel and click on "New" and choose "DWORD
value"
4) Add RunOnceHasShown in the area provided, hit enter, then double click it
and change the value from "0" to "1"
5) Lastly, do the exact same thing but type RunOnceComplete and change it's
value from "0" to "1".
6) Open up IE7 and it should go to your home page instead of that annoying
blank blue page with errors.

Mike;
Did as suggested...didn't do the trick.  Now I suppose I have to monkey
with ZoneAlarm Pro, which I've never had to do before.
The mind boggles at the number of  idiots making how many millions who
managed to design in this problem, involving something as basic as setting a
home page.

Mike,
Made the changes to regedit and everything is working fine now.

Thanks.

Mike you are a diamond. I have been trying to get rid of this message for
ages. I followed your easy instructions and all back to normal. THANKS,
