I have this issue and have to use firefox now too, which I am not liking so
much with the stripped html.
When I try disabling them MIME control in IE7, it will let me actually send
a message in OWA, I just can't type a message! I am reduced to sending only
a subject line!

Try asking where OWA is supported...

Outlook Web Access crashes for me too when I press the send button, or more
accurately IE7 crashes, it is most annoying. The OS I am using is Vista.
I found this article which seems to address the issue “You receive an error
message when you try to perform any editing tasks, or you must click to
enable the compose frame in Outlook Web Access”
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911829
However I cannot install it as the fix crashes with an error message saying
there is not enough memory??? I have 2Gb.
