I have the message IE is currently running with add-ons disabled. I have
followed the directions to enable, but on manage add ons all say enabled. I
tried uninstall reinstall. same message. i wouldn't care but instead of going
to my start up page It goes to a add ons not enabled page. How do I fix this?

Check your shortcut to IE.  Does it have -extoff at the end of the Target
box?  If so, that tells IE to not use any addons.  Create a shortcut that
matches that one, but remove the -extoff from the end of the Target, so it
should just read as follows:

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

Launch IE using the new shortcut you just created.  Does that work
correctly?

Tom thanks for posting that fix. It has saved me lots of time, (and grief) as
I was trying everything but having no success. Thanks again Des.
