IE7 takes 5 to 10 times longer to load a web than IE6 or Firefox 1.5.0.7.
Anyone have a solution?

Suggest you might try disabling the Phishing Filter. After I did, page
loading appears to be the same as IE6.

Thanks For your reply, Thiggy. Belive it or not, that was the very first
thing I tried. In my case it did not make any difference in the page load
times.

Best regards

you might also try disabling all add-ins, if that speeds up your load times
then start putting them back in one at a time till is slows down again.

One add-in in my system was responsible for locking up at start and slow
loads of pages when I could get it to work.
(had to do with Windows Desktop Search).

It was the addon ssvHelper Class causing the slow load times. This is part
of the Sun JRE and loads a dll named ssv.dll. I completly uninstalled Java,
run Reg Mech to clean out all the junk their uninstall leaves behind and
reinstalled the latest version of Java (1.5.0_09). However, if I enable
ssvHelper Class I still have the problem. JAVA RUN ANYWHERE - FAIL EVERYWHERE

Thanks again Michael
