IE7 takes 5 to 10 times longer to load a web than IE6 or Firefox 1.5.0.7. Anyone have a solution?  SignatureBest regards Don Suggest you might try disabling the Phishing Filter. Belive it or not, that was the very first thing I tried. In my case it did not make any difference in the page load times. Best regards Don you might also try disabling all add-ins, if that speeds up your load times then start putting them back in one at a time till is slows down again. One add-in in my system was responsible for locking up at start and slow loads of pages when I could get it to work. (had to do with Windows Desktop Search). [quoted text clipped - 20 lines] > > Michael - I owe you a Budwiser!! It was the addon ssvHelper Class causing the slow load times. This is part of the Sun JRE and loads a dll named ssv.dll. I completly uninstalled Java, run Reg Mech to clean out all the junk their uninstall leaves behind and reinstalled the latest version of Java (1.5.0_09). However, if I enable ssvHelper Class I still have the problem.
