When opening a new tab, I have the blank page option. Can I have a default
home page for new tabs opened? It could be my home page or not, I just don't
like this blank page. Thanks.
Yup. Open an Internet Explorer and go to Tools, Internet Options. Or, you can
right-click Internet Explorer on the desktop and select Properties.
Once the box appears, go to Settings under the Tabs section in General.
7th tick box down says "Open home page for new tabs instead of a blank page".
Tick and OK. And OK again.
Just make sure you have a homepage specified! :-)

Hi,
Is it possible to reset the default back to about:tabs instead of about:blank?
Thanks and regards

Hi,
For XP or Vista, this is the registry key...
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TabbedBrowsing]
DWORD Value named "ShowTabsWelcome"
1 shows the welcome message. 0 opens blank tabs.
First, export the registry or create a System Restore point.
Then, run regedit, navigate to that key. Right-click the DWORD Value
"ShowTabsWelcome" Modify the value from 0 to 1. Exit Registry Editor.
Hope this helps,
Don
