Why does IE7 automatically create a 'Customize Links' in the LINKS toolbar?
I already know how to create customzed links and I do not need to have IE7
continually set this option.  I delete everytime it is created and IE7 keeps
re-entering this.   Once I delete something I want it to remain deleted.

This goes for the Favorites menu.  IE7 always creates a folder of Microsoft
favorites which ARE NOT MY FAVORITES.  When I delete this I want it to remain
deleted however Microsoft forces these items on me.

Hi,
If you have "Do not show hidden files and folders" checked in Folder
Options> View, make the Favorites and folders that you don't want to see
"hidden." Right-click> Properties> etc. You won't see them and they won't be
recreated.

Hope this helps,
Don

This, works. But is there any way to get rid of the auto-junk without
altering the rest of my machine's functions?

I agree with Mathias and am very disappointed in Microsoft for not making a
reasonable solution to the reoccurring Links folder in Favorites available.
I kept trying to eliminate this folder and wasted alot of time in doing so.
I also waste alot of time on other silly things related to software, so I
guess its no big deal.  It all boils down to poor documentation.  The Help
and Support features don't help at all, and the way they are organized makes
even less sense.  I too, wish not to have to disrupt my entire operating
system folders and files visibility to get rid of this annoying little
folder.  The authors of the latest software Help documentation would greatly
benefit from broad exposure to the organization methods used in libraries for
centuries.
