New Lap top already configured ( just out of the box 3 Weeks ) with Windows

After checking out many sites and fixes from this site to no avail.

I have now reloaded the whole system, back from the restore disk supplied
with the laptop and all is fixed.

So the best thing I can suggest is that you reinstall your operating stytem.

I am also having this same problem, but also don't know how to reload my OS.
I have to assume that there is another way to eradicate the red x on Vista
laptops with IE 7  right out of the box.  Help please!

I have the Red X show up on e-mail and runescape web page,  runescape no
longer functions, I do not like VISTA!
