I think it is rediculous that there is a huge address box and a very small
search box on the top line of IE 7.0.  Does anyone know a way to readjust
these sizes?

Hello Gray,

The only way to resize and move the address bar in IE7 is to replace it by
the Quero Toolbar.

I agree. Not being able to resize or move the address bar is one of the
biggest complaints that I have about ie7.

Browsers are supposed to be for viewing web pages but with ie7 you loose
webpage viewing space and browser functionality because of the forced ie7
interface.

I have a 20" screen but ie7 integrates two bars occupying the entire length
of the top browser and I can't move or resize the bars. Very annoying!

I was also unable to assign different search providors to the two bars. When
selecting an existing search providor or adding a new search providor, both
the address bar and the search bar were limited to the same search providor.

It would be much better to have the address bar include the functionality to
search according to a persons favourite internet search providor [Ex: Google]
and have the search bar search their favourite service search providor [Ex:
Wiki]. Otherwise, users are going to be adding in new plug-ins to occupy even
more valuable space already imposed by the two ie7 bars that also interfere
with the normal use of plug-ins (I have a Google-Search plug-in that I can't
click into until I click into the MS address bar first).

I'm definitely going to visit http://www.quero.at/ to consider replacing the
ie7 bars with their own versions.

I use to make a lot of excellent suggestions during the beta releases but
found that whenever I wanted MS to address my problems, I was told to contact
my vendor. What's with that? It's your OS isn't it? It's actions like this
that cause me to consider the possibility of going to MAC. I don't expect
help from MS anymore.

PS: The shorcut icons on the links bar still don't retain their customized
icons. I notified you about this during the beta stages and the problem still
exists. It's the reason I waited until this month before installing ie7. I
was really dissapointed to discover that the problem still exists.
