Hi dianne,

Please post to the thread you started. Someone will get to an answer for you
in the mean time...

It appears that your browser is starting in Kiosk mode.... You should be
able to close it with Alt+F4 key combination.

To stop windows starting with IE in kiosk mode, once you have closed IE and
can see your task bar, select the Start>Run menu option and enter "msconfig"
(without quotes) in the run dialog. This will start the MS Configuration
Utility.... Select the "Startup" tab and look for any startup items that
contain either
iexplore -k or iexplore.exe -k and disable them from the startup list. The
next time you restart windows, IE should not start automatically in kiosk
mode.

How did this item get in the windows startup list? Possibly (If this is your
home computer) another user has put it there (any genius children?) or you
have installed some "safe surfing" software (like netnanny or the MS public
computer lockdown tool) that restricts access to your computer.

Regards
