is there any way to stop the clicking when ie7 moves onto another page?

One can only guess when you don't say what version of Windows you have.

This works if you have Windows XP:

Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Sounds tab > Program Events

IE7 options don't seem to offer a way to control this.

But, if you open Sounds (right click on the speaker icon in taskbar,
system-tray) it seems to be the same sound as listed for Windows Explorer
called Start Navigation.

Set it to None and apply... works for me...

Good Luck...

I should add that my previous post refers to IE7 under Vista.
