I've tried many times to run the ie7 installer and it keeps failing every
single time.

This is the log file http://www.paste.uni.cc/16447

The only thing I can spot is lines 34-36 in that paste

Anyone else ever had this problem?
Any ideas how to get around it?
This is WinXP SP2

Greetings Moises:

Follow these instructions exactly to install IE 7 on Windows XP:
http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install

It's best to download the IE 7 installer directly from Microsoft's web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

and install from your hard drive.

Required reading IMHO before installing IE7:

Sandi's Installation Tips <= FOLLOW THESE TIPS TO THE LETTER!
http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install

[And I strongly recommend using
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx as the installation source,
not Automatic/Windows Update.]

You might also try installing by using Safe Mode with Networking.

Do yourself a HUGE favor and quit trying to install it.  IE7 is the
biggest piece of sh.t that MS has ever released.  Im waiting to install
Vista until I get instructions on how to 'downgrade' to IE6 with it.
