My Internet Explorer keeps opening every link I click in a new window instead
of the same page.
Why is that?
Thank you!

Samir:

I'm going to guess that you have Internet Explorer 7. It would be better
if you told us what version of Internet Explorer you have and what
version of Windows you have.

To enable tabbed browsing in IE 7:
Tools > Internet Options > General tab -- Tabs section > Settings button
> checkmark in Enabled Tabbed Browsing

Dear Leonard,
Thanks for the quick response. I am using Internet Explorer 7 on Windows
Vista Ultimate. I do used tabbing all the time but the problem is that it
opens a new WINDOW on most the links I click.
Once again thanks!

Open IE7 -> Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> Browsing -> check
"Reuse windows for launching shortcuts."

In Vista, by default:

If an IE7 window is open to a site in Trusted Sites zone and you click on a
link or a Favorite that's in Internet zone, a new window will open.

If an IE7 window is open to a site in Internet zone and you click on a link
or a Favorite that's in Trusted Sites zone, a new window will open.

Sites in Trusted Sites zone open in a protected mode-disabled window while
those in Internet zones open in a protected mode-enabled window.

Right click and select Open in a new tab.
Or hold down the Ctrl key while you click.
