Hi,

I have a rather annoying icon in my "Favorites" on my IE7 desktop. This is
entitled "Mobile Favorites" and it is a small folder with a mobile phone in
front and a white star in a red circle to the bottom left. I have deleted it
on numerous occasions but it keeps re-appearing. How do I get rid of it
completely please?

Is this Favorite one that you (or anyone else who uses your computer)
previously added to your Favorites?

Hi Leonard,

I honestly can't remember - I recall about 2 -3 weeks back spending quite a
long time re-creating my "Favorites" list to be compatible with the one I
used with XP (in fact I'm still doing it as I remember sites I used) and I
did have a link called Mobile Favorites but I can't think where the icon came
from, I definitely don't recall setting it. I have a small supply of icons
acquired from a search and I use these to ease my list, but this one is not
mine. I probably did create a link named "Mobile Favorites" which has
probably become this one. I've deleted it from every direction I can get at
it but it inevitably re-appears, after boot up in particular. It's most
annoying.

Let me put it this way:

If you added that Favorite, you could go back to where you got it and
complain.

If you, or someone who uses your computer, did not add that Favorite, it
was added by a virus or some other malicious software that has infected
your computer.
