on the wireless network for a few days.  now suddenly I can't access Internet
exploer 7, my windows messenger works ok..but I can't search the web, I have
tried restoring the settings back to factory but that didn't work.  Acer
tells me to call microsoft..microsoft tells me to call acer..can anyone
help..when I go to add/remove programs..internet explorer isn't there, when I
show all updates it's not there either.

Hello,

what will happen if you press [Windows key] + R, and type iexplore, and hit
enter?
Internet Explorer will not show up in Programs in Control Panel with Vista.

When I do that it says internet explorer cannot display the webpage  most
likely causes
1. You are not connected to the internet - we are connection excellent and
able to use MSN messenger
2. the website is encountering problems - it's not, I'm on it on my other
laptop
3.there might be a typing error in the address..NOPE checked.

Hello,

what do your connections say in Internet Explorer -> Tools -> Internet
Options -> Connections?
In -> LAN Settings, is there a proxy or something?

What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Start Without
Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).
