Restricted Sites button greyed out

Upon trying add a site to the "Restricted Sites" in IE7 (using WinXP SP2)
I've discovered the Sites button is greyed out and when choosing a "Custom
Setting" for it's security the drag bar is locked. Also I have a little house
for the "Restricted Sites" icon instead of the original one.

I believe this is a result of trying out Spyware Blaster some time ago. What
I need to know is if there are changes I can make in the registry (or any
other solution) to get back to IE 7's original setting.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

you could try and see if there's something messed up in the Group Policy
Object Editor.
(I've only got the Vista version, but it should be similar in XP):
Run gpedit.msc -> in "Computer Configuration" -> "Administrative
Templates" -> "Windows Components" -> click onto "Internet Explorer" -> and
now look, if there's something enabled or disabled that shouldn't be.
(Additionally, you could look into --> "Internet Control Panel" -->
"Security Page".)

Greetings,
P. Di Stolfo

Thanks for your speedy response. Checked it out but see everything as "not
configured"

Hi,
Speaking of the registry...
See:
"Sites" button and "Custom Level" slider are grayed out in Internet
Options - Security tab?

Hope this helps,

You're welcome. Glad that Ramesh's page helped.
