Odd since Vista comes with IE7.
Try installing the User Agent String Utility. It spoofs websites into
believing it's IE6. You'll find download link under question 4.

Tried the download no change still getting the message:
Internet Explorer has stopped working

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is availible

Look in Event Viewer Applications for the Error. Locate the Event ID # and
Fault Module Name
Also, have you recently downloaded video codecs? Uninstall them.

Looked in Event Viewer Applications for an Error. Oddly there were none for
IE
and no I have not downloaded any video codecs before or after the upgrade
did a search found three may be a part of Windows not sure.

The three codec files would be Python files. Used in .Net Framework
