How To Delete Browser History

have used the Tool Delete Browser History; Tols/Options/Browser History with
all the accompanying tabs - yet the history will not delete. I have used
START/Properties/Customize/Clear List and still the history will not delete.
Any help?

Is this IE7 in Windows XP or Vista?

Hi,
It may help to clear the History from Control Panel> Internet Options with
IE not running.

Or another program may be interfering- security, privacy, mail, messaging,
etc.
Try clearing the History from Safe Mode.

Safe Mode- XP

If you *always* have to use Safe Mode, try shutting down other programs
until you find the guilty program.

For the TypedURLs list (down arrow on the right side of the address bar)
closing then re-opening IE may be necessary. Restarting the computer may be
necessary.

The free program CCleaner www.ccleaner.com can sometimes succeed when the
usual methods fail.
