When I surf and open sites by clicking it’s all OK. If I want to insert a
text in a window or search window the screen gets faded and the message says
IE stops working then the message appears “runtime error 216 at 020A2EE6
(this second code slightly changes each time but the final EE6  remains
always)” and the page gest blocked (I cannot close it down). Then I have to
reset the computer.
What’s happening. Please note that I have Windows Vista on my new Toshiba
notebook P200 17D.
Can somebody help me? Thanks.

What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop and choose Start Without
Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).

Add-ons are disabled and the problem persists. Any other idea?

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing Messenger Plus, whose ads for
malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you
owe it to the author.  See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything.  Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along.  Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.
