Ask "Javasoft" if they even have a JVM. Are you sure you don't mean Sun
Microsystems ?

Hi Allan,
Javasoft "is" the business unit of "Sun Microsystems" that is responsible
for Java technology.
Definition of JavaSoft:
"The division within Sun that supports the Java programming language and
licenses the Java Virtual Machine."

Hi,
You question should be geared more toward which versions work with IE7 on
Windows XP versus which versions work with IE7 on Vista.
For instance JRE 1.4xx, 1.5xx, and 1.6xx should all work fine with IE7 on
Windows XP.
But if you have Windows Vista then you should be looking at running either
the JRE 1.5 update 11 or the latest version JRE 1.6 update 1.
Some informative reading on the issue:

Good luck,
