I tried pretty much everywhere to find a solution, but I cannot seem to find
any help in dealing with this problem. Some websites that I go to, for
example: "myspace" will will freeze for a few minutes, then unfreeze and come
up with an error that says "stop running this script." It does this when I
use either IE7 and aol. I am using Window XP. Hope somebody can help me b/c I
am getting really frustrated.

Here is a picture of the problem:

Hello Vincenzo, thanks for the reply. I tried the steps and am not sure if I
did it correctly. I had to create a new key and name it Styles, which I did.
Step 2 is where I am not sure if its correct. When I have Styles highlighted
I right clicked and said create a new DWORD, which I did and I just renamed
it "MaxScriptStatement".

In the Registry Editor, it says under Data: 0x00000000 (0) . Do I need to
change the Data? If so, what do I change it to?

"MaxScriptStatements" and not "MaxScriptStatement"

Try 0x10000000
or more:
0x20000000

Make sure to back up the registry before you modify it:

Hey vincenzo, how do you change it? When you right click on MaxScript, there
is 2 things:
Modify and Modify Binary Data. I have no Idea how to change.

Well good news guys (Frank and Vincenzo), is that it stop freezing, but the
bad news is now when I start IE7 and I go to any web site such as google,
yahoo, myspace, etc...the "Stop Running This Script" still appears, but it
does not freeze. It happens also when I start IE7.

I did the modify like you told me. I did 2, 4 and 10 but under Hexadecimal.
That did the trick of making it stop freezing, but as far as making it stop
"STOP RUNNING THIS SCRIPT," its still there.

Right now, I have the value data at 10(Hexadecimal) and this is what it says:
             Name:                                 Type
          Data
         MaxScriptStatements            REG_DWORD
0x00000010 (16)

Does the behavior persist in No Add-ons mode, Brad?

Vincenzo, when I followed these steps: "Click Start -> All Programs ->
Accessories -> System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)."
It says in IE: "Internet Explorer is currently running without add-on."

At the top, there is a blue shield with a question mark(?) in it, and that
says "Internet explorer is currently running with add-on disabled."

This is it:

Internet Explorer is currently running without add-ons

All Internet Explorer add-ons, such as ActiveX controls or toolbars, are
turned off. Some webpages might not display correctly.
To continue to your home page, click the Home button.
To browse using add-ons, close Internet Explorer and then start it again.
Check for the latest Windows updates.

How do browser add-ons affect my browsing experience?

Run a thorough check for spy/malware and worms:
http://blogs.dotnethell.it/vincent/Post_4820.aspx
"Checking for/Help with Spyware, Malware and Hijackware".

1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) per
http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html

2. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window
Blinds).

3. Reinstall IE7 per http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install,
and using http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the
installation source, not Automatic/Windows Update.

The machine is *not* free of all hijackware after having only run the Nod32
AV.
