I have a Gateway computer running Windows Vista, McAfee and IE. My DSL is
SBC/Yahoo! and all was fine until recently. I can go online using IE but can
not actually log into my DSL account, which gives me access to my email and
personal browser settings. I also cannot lot into my Hotmail account using
this computer, but no problems with my other computers using Windows XP.
Any ideas what settings may have changed, or what Windows Vista or McAfee
updates may be affecting these security log-on fields?
P.S. - If I go into to Safe Mode, I can log-in, but not in a normal
start-up...
Thank you!

Does this behavior persist if you start IE7 in No Add-ons mode? To start
IE7 in No Add-ons mode:
1. Right-click on the blue IE desktop icon and select Start without Add-ons;
2. Start > (All) Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Internet Explorer
(No add-ons).

Does the problem persist if you Reset IE7 Settings (RIES)?

Safe Mode of the browser, or the computer?
If you mean that you can start MSIE in Safe Mode, you need to start
disabling BHOs.
If you installed any of the "at&t Yahoo! HSI" (it is no longer called, "SBC
Yahoo! DSL Service", and hasn't been since about January, 2006!) software,
remove it. There are better options than AT&T (formerly SBC) provides.

What if you uninstall McAfee?
(If that fixes it don't replace McAfee with Norton.)
