Have you opened the site with other IE versions, before IE7.

Be more specific.   Does just opening this URL cause your symptom?

http://www.facebook.com/

Or are you getting that far and then trying to do something (such as use
the Login button?)

I am having the same problem.  I started creating an account in Facebook,
then bam, I got kicked out.  Now no matter, what, just by going to
www.facebook.com I get an error stating:
"You are using an incompatible web browser.
Sorry, we're not cool enough to support your browser. Please keep it real
with one of the following browsers:

*Firefox
*Opera"
I contacted Facebook's tech support and they said that yes they support IE
7.0 and to delete the cookies and Temporary internet files then restart,
which I did, but still I cannot get in.

Sounds like your  User-Agent  is corrupt.
Try visiting this site to check your  User-Agent
and how it might be being interpreted.

http://www.fiddlertool.com/useragent.aspx

Hmm... the focus of that page has changed.   The diagnostic aspect
is now at the bottom.   Do a  Ctrl-f  find  for  User-Agent  to find it.
