I am a Mom with two children and this latest issue is driving me crazy! I
have IE7 and when I log oneverything is fine. When they try, they get two
error messages: ccAppexe_Application error 0xc0000022 and then
reader_sl.exe_Application error 0xc0000022. The home page then does NOT come
on but instead I am getting a blue screen with runonce as the website. We CAN
click out of it AND GET msn or yahoo, but when trying to log into their all
favorite disneychannel or webkinz, we can not get on. I disabled Norton to
see if that would work, no luck. I made them both "administrators" to see if
that would help, no luck. Why are these two pages not working for them, but
work for me? please help, in the interim they are using my profile and I
would really they rather not! Thankyou for any suggestions!

Hello,

you could try the following: http://tristram.squarespace.com/home/2007/6/2/a-norton-problem-and-its-solution.html

Please tell us if it helps.

Greetings,
P. Di Stolfo

You may have a horked (dirty; bad; flawed) install of IE7.  I suggest that
you..,

1. Uninstall IE7 (which automatically returns you to IE6) per
http://www.ie-vista.com/kbase2.html

2. Uninstall all toolbars and third-party Windows Themes (including Window
Blinds).

3. Reinstall IE7 per http://www.ie-vista.com/known_issues.html#pre-install,
and using http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/default.mspx as the
installation source, not Automatic/Windows Update.

Would a restall help? I am asking because all three profiles were working
correctly about three weeks ago as well as for the past 6 months when I first
got the computer. This problem first occured one morning and has not fixed
itself. I did do a restore hoping that would help, but no. I thought if I had
a flawed IE7 that it would not have worked in the first place. I forgot to
mention that everything on the computer was PERFECT for about 6 months. No
upgrades or anything prior to it "not working" one morning. If you continue
to think that a restall would help I would. IE6 was never on the computer so
your comment about it automatically returning to IE6 confused me. I have IE6
on my other computer and am very happy. Is it possible to take off 7 and
replace with 6? There is nothing valuable on the computer we are talking
about. It is simply an extra for my two girls to connect with each other on
"children safe" websites so they can play together. (disney, etc.)

An  uninstall/reinstall, done exactly per the links I gave you, certainly
won't harm anything, Kathy.

I would recommend uninstalling Norton and replacing it with Avast 4:
