Recently IE7 has been shutting down really frequently.  Sometimes I have a
lot of tabs or separate windows open, sometimes not very many.  I'll be in
the middle of a big search in ebay, for example, and I go to look at
something, or to go to the next page, and it shuts down and asks if it can
send a message to MS.

This is hugely frustrating and I don't know why it happens--it seems very
random.

Can anyone help?!

Try to reset IE7.
Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab | Reset Internet Explorer settings,
click on to 'Reset...'
Then disable all add-ons, proceed with browsing, if ok, enable add-ons one
by one.
Good luck :)
