Hi there.
I managed to mess up an install on XP and installed in onto the same
partition as my Vista install, I repaired the Vista install and everything is
working fine apart from WMP and IE7.
I think the XP install over wrote IE 7 with IE6 and WMP11 with WMP 9 or 10...

I need to know how to either uninstall them or repair them.
I cannot find any way to uninstall them on Vista, only on XP and the
installation files for them just don't exist....
Whats more I can't delete any of the files in the appropriate program files
folders as they are protected.
Help please.
Thanks.

Save what you want to keep, then format the drive during the install of
whichever version you want to keep.

So a complete format is the only option? wow....ok I guess I can live
without them then. Firefox and vlc from now on.

You can not uninstall IE7 or WMP 11 from vista, as they are part of the OS
