I have an WIn XP Pro machine running service pak 2 with IE6
Whenever the user opens the browser, cpu usages goes up to 97% and is like
that until the page loads completly.
as a result, everythign else comes to a grinding halt until that pages is
loaded.   it also causes that page to take a very long time to load as well.
I have done a complete virus and spyware and adware scan on teh system and
it has come up clean on eveerything.

Hi John,

I hope this could be just because of two reasons.

One: Toolbars. so remove all the toolbars, from the computer check whether
this resolves the issue

The next one is the Antivirus softwares and its updates.
Try to Uninstall the Antivirus softwares you have and reinstall them

This can fix the issue

Please let me know if you have any other queries

Thanks,
Anish

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert.  **Post your log to
