Import Favorites Files - 17 Jul 2007 19:32 GMT
I, recently, had a 'crash' of Windows XP and had to reinstall.  Of course, I
lost my Favorites on my browser.  I have not been able to Import my backup
Favorites file.   When I try to import, the system takes me through the
Import/Export Wizard and allows me to browse my system to find the favorites
files, but will not let me import the group.   Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Hi,
It sounds like you didn't export favorites (to back them up) or you would
have a file named (probably) bookmarks.htm. You would be able to import that
file.

If you simply copied the Favorites folders to another directory on the HD or
CD, DVD, etc. you should be able to drag/drop/copy those folders to replace
the current Favorites folders. If the (backup) folders were burned to a CD,
you may have to remove the Read Only attribute.

Hope this helps,
Don
