IE7 Will not save userids and passwords

For some reason, IE7 - of late - has decided not to save either userids or
passwords on my home PC.

This is very strange because I can access exactly the same sites at work
(using IE6) with the userid and (often) the password prefilled.

It used to work fine in both IE6 and IE7 at home, as well.

Does anyone know what the issue might be?

I'm having the same problem, and this suggestion did not help.  I used to get
signed in automatically to a custom home page - now i have to sign in every
time. IE7 also does not function properly for auto complete.  History is not
maintained.
