I am having a problem with IE7 installed with Vista.  Evertime I select PRINT
or PRINT PREVIEW, I get the following error:

Cannot find 'file///D:/TEMP/Low/YAYYU81T.htm'. Make sure the path or
Internet address is correct.

The file name will be different each time, but otherwise the error is always
the same.  After clearing the error, my home page will load and soon after
that, I get an Internet Explorer Script Error as follows:

An error has occured in the script on this page.

Line:       2069
CHR:       1
Error:      Object required
Code:      0
URL:        res://ieframe.dll/preview.dlg

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

If I select Print Preview, I get the same thing but the addition of the
print preview window that I can not close.  I can print fine from other
programs.  I can find no way to reload Internet Explorer, so I am currently
at a lost as to what to do to correct the problem.  Any help will be greatly
appreciated.  Thanks.

Were you able to print these "troublesome" pages before?

Try the following:

Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab
Uncheck Enable Third Party Browser Extensions
Check Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer)
Check Disable Script Debugging (Other)
Uncheck Display a Notification about every script error
Click Apply
Click OK

Now try to print

If that doesn't work, then try Tools>Internet Options>Advanced Tab>Click on
Reset Button

All worked fine at one time, but I am not sure when the issue started.  I
tried what you suggested, but none of it worked.  I think something is
corrupted.  I was hoping to reload IE7, but I can not find a way to do this.

The only repair options are System Recovery or System Restore

First go to Run and Type in SFC /scannow
There is a space between SFC and /

This will repair/replace damaged protected files.

If that fails, try a system restore.  Restore to a point before you noticed
this occurrence.

Have you added software that may have possibly caused the issue?

Well, it seems I could not run SFC wihout being logged i as the
administrator.  Anyway I started doing some snooping on the Web and found a
reference to this issue.  The only solution was to reload the whole system or
disable protected mode in IE7.  I do not want to reload since I just did that
a week ago.  I did try a restore back to the earliest save I had, but that
did not fix the problem.  Anyway, I tried turning off protected mode in IE7
and it worked.  I can print from IE7 just fine.  If I enable protected mode,
again I will not be able to print.  Anyway, now I need to see if I can find a
real solution to the issue.  For now, I guess I will have to live with this
work around.  Let me know if you find out anything.

Re-enable your protective mode and retry print options.

I tried what you asked and it still failed to print.  Again, it prints fine
with protected mode off.

Try using Command Prompt to run SFC /scannow

Start>All Programs>Accessories>Right click on Command Prompt and select Run
As Admnistrator
Type in SFC /scannow

It will take a few minutes for the scan to complete.

Another question:  Is printer set as default printer?
Right click on printer icon in Control Panel and select Set As Default

It came back and said it found no integrity issues.  What next?

Selecting "Run as administrator" when launching IE7 fixes it for me so it may be a security/permissions issue.

I have the same problem - frustrating.

Doesn't "Run as adminstrator" have the effect of turning off Protected Mode
so provide the same workaround?

Elsewhere I've picked up a possible link with HP software.  I don't have an
HP printer (mine's Epson) but I do have an HP scanner and have downloaded and
installed the latest Vista compatible software for it.  Is it possible that
this is the problem?  Do others have the problem without any HP software
installed?
