Hi, just wondering if I can get some help here about this problem with IE7
I've been having.
Everytime I watch ANY video files, IE7 closes and I get: "Internet Explorer
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience."
It doesn't matter what type of site it is, as long as I download a video
file to watch it, IE7 ALWAYS shuts down after. I don't save the files, I just
open them directly, mostly I download sports videos, videos from my family on
their collections sites like ringo, how-to videos, etc. Like I said, as long
as is a video file IE7 closes on me.
Anybody know how to solve this?
Thanx for the help

I know of two causes for the vast majority of such problems:
1. Incompatible add-ons: What if you right click the IE icon on the desktop
and choose Start Without Add-ons?
Or go to Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Internet
Explorer (No Add-ons).
2. In IE go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced. Scroll down to the
bottom and Reset IE.
3. Malware already installed on the computer: Help with malware

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing Messenger Plus, whose ads for
malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince you that you
owe it to the author. See also:

Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.
