On my corporate intranet we have various forms and documents that users can access via hyperlinks. One user (the Production Mgr) cannout open any of these links. All he gets is a blank IE window pop up. Files include .dot, .doc, and .xls. IE 7 Windows XP SP2 Any suggestions? > these links. All he gets is a blank IE window pop up. Files include .dot, > .doc, and .xls. Does this person have Office installed correctly? Try the following: 1. Start -> Control Panel -> Default Programs -> Associate a file type or protocol with a program. 2. Check to see what program is set to open .doc files. If it is not Microsoft Word, either make it Microsoft Word or re-install / repair office via Programs and Features control panel. |
