Hi,
I have a desktop and laptop at work, plus, my family has 7 computers, 1
laptop with XP Media Edition, 6 destop computers of various brands and
builds all with XP Pro SP2, and one Window98se computer. All have MSIE v6.0
SP2, 128-bit, all updates, all were setup the same, and yet I have created a
website for work that has a background image inside a table that only
displays on 2 of the 6 desktop here at home, and also displays on my
desktop at work, but not the laptop.
The site is http://www.studentleadershipacademy.org and on the top banner
there is a large blue image on the left which is our school logo, and on the
other side of that banner I have an image which is a background image inside
the table, it displays on some computers, and not on others.
I have checked the Advanced tab in the browser on each machine, and they are
all set the same.. ??? so why isn't the image displaying on all the
machines?
Is there other controls somewhere that I need to check?
Any help greatly appreciated, while I still have some hair left.
Perplexed!
thanks,
niteowl

Hi,
I think I'm seeing a small piece of the image. Is it a small, round, gray
logo that's missing? If so, I just see about 1/4 of it- the left side.
I think you have a mismatch between table/cell sizes and the image size. The
image may be displaying on some machines because of different screen
resolution. Try resizing tables or cells or the image. I'd start the
experimentation by making the image smaller.

Hi,
As Don Varnau has already pointed out, your image is there(if you are
talking about "banner_bckgrnd.jpg"), however the image width is greater than
your Table width so the Seal on the righthand side of the background image
is being cut off here with resolution set to 1024x768 . You can test this
by giving your Table containing that image a width equal to the image+2times
the width of the table border, in other words give that Table a width of 695
pixels and the seal should show up at all resolutions.
Good luck,

Donald (& Don),
thanks, I tried resetting the table size, cell size, etc. it still was not
consistent between screen resolutions on the different computers, so I just
made an image of the whole thing and replaced the table with an image.
I thought it might be resolutions, but when I changed one of the computers
to several different settings, it made no difference. That's when I posted
for help. I obviously didn't try enough different settings.
I appreciate the help.
