many problems using IE 7 on Vista Business, but IE 7 on Windows XP works fine.
I cannot find any service patch like sp2 for IE7 that can be installed for
Vista. I tried to install IE7 SP2 for XP, but message "Internet Explorer 7 is
not supported on this operating system". No support can be found for IE7 on
Vista. Frustrated using IE7.
Is IE 7 on Vista the same version as that install on Windows XP?

Hi Charles,
No... IE7 for Vista is different from IE7 for XP, 2003 server.
For a more detailed suggestion as to what to do next please post back with
more details about the 'problems' you have been experiencing.
To repair IE7 on Vista select Start>Control Panel>Internet Options, Advanced
tab, Reset Button.
This will disable all Toolbar and Browser Helper Addons and delete all menu
Extension and Search Providers and reset IE7 to the Defaults (Security and
Privacy settings)
More than likely the problems you are experiencing (and which you have not
given any detail about) are being caused by Addon Toolbars or Browser
Helpers. If you upgraded an existing XP installation to Vista then these
addons may have been added to IE as part of the upgrade.
As a fist step if you do not want to reset IE7 and start again configuring
it the way you want, check with the web sites of your Addon vendors for the
latest versions of their software.
Regards.
