when I use internet explorer 7 in windows xp it keeps freezing or
crashing
periodically, the explorer icon in the top left hand corner changes to a

white box. There doesnt seem to be a trigger to this crashing and the
computer has more than enough RAM. I've tried clearing cookies
periodically
and my anti virus software cannot detect any spyware or adware.

I'm stumped and have no idea what to do. I've seen programmes on google
that
say they clean the registry but I'm a bit wary of that.

Anyideas???

there isn't one, the "e" icon turns to a whit box then the only way to
sort
it is to end the programme using ctrl alt delete.
