Every once in a while, I will type in a web address (correctly every time),
or a web site will automatically refresh itself, and instead of going where
it's supposed to go, it will redirect me to a dell search page telling me
that they cannot find the website. This has happened multiple times while I
left a window up on my iGoogle, when the weather tries to refresh itself
automatically. This also happened when I tried to go to other websites, such
as http://www.thegamehomepage.com. At the top of the search that was
automatically conducted for the website would be the site I was looking for,
and clicking that link brings me to the page without any trouble. I believe
this might be a problem with the site timing out, but I'm not sure. Can
anyone help me diagnose and solve this problem? It's not keeping me from the
internet, but it is a hindrance. Thank you!
As I typed this post, another window of mine went to the Dell page in
question. Go figure.

Hi,
To disable the useless google/dell redirecting browser add-on, look for the
post from brandonmason at
http://www.dellcommunity.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=sw_other&messa

Hope this helps,

So, type them correctly more often. <eg>
More significantly are you entering a *full* URL, i.e. complete with protocol prefix?
If not, and you have Search from the Address bar enabled that would be the cause
of this symptom. It would just mean that the performance of your ISP's DNS is not
within the (AFAIK hardcoded) constraints that that feature uses.

Time for you to look for a better DNS... ; )
Good luck
