Sometimes when I save a webpage to Favorites and then later try to click on
the item under the Favorites "Star" nothing happens.  I have looked at the
properties and on the details page there is no url stored.   The saved
favorite also has a right pointing side arrow which appears not to do
anything - it is just there.  Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

If the right-pointing area is on the lower left corner of the icon you
have a shortcut, not a Favorite.

Sorry...I meant to say "right-pointing arrow".

I hate to sound dumb, but what is the difference between a shortcut and a
Favorite?
When I hit the add to Favorites "double stars" a box comes up that says
ADD a favorite, I select the folder and hit YES.  Sometimes it saves the
www. information sometimes not.    I have tried to go to the Details tab and
put in the www. information, sometimes it takes (I think) sometimes not.
Also on these that don't save, under Properties I don't get a Web Document
tab like I do on the ones that do save.

Hi,
It seems like this problem should appear every time you save a Favorite, not
just occasionally, but see the "For Internet Explorer 7" section at
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/webdoctab.htm Give the REG file a try.

Hope this helps,
Don
