IE 7 opening maximised - not stretched screen

I always open windows from Windows Live Messenger, since installing IE 7 my
hotmail inbox does not open in a maximised screen. I have managed to get IE
7 to open maximised from the quicklaunch icon, but wish for it to open
maximised from Windows Live and links to open new screens maximised too.

Open such an IE window but do NOT maximize it | "grab" the corners with your
cursor & stretch it to full-screen size | Close all other IE windows | Close
the one you just resized.

The resized window *must* be the last window closed for its size to be
remembered.

Or just install the handy-dandy IE New Window Maximizer:
