After I access a Favorite link, I cannot close any windows.  I can go back to
previous windows, but cannot even close them.  Only solution I have been able
to find is to reboot.

Did you want us to guess what versions of Internet Explorer and Windows
you have?

What does "access a Favorite link" mean? Does it mean to click on a
Favorite stored in Internet Explorer?

After you "access a Favorite link" you cannot close any other open
window? Even windows not part of Internet Explorer? Exactly what happens
when you click on the red X in a window?

(If you have IE 6 or IE 7) do you have the same problem when you start
Internet Explorer without any third-party add-ons?
