I am running Windows XP & using IE7 and also run RoboForm. I am trying to
access this …  www.viralurl.com … website. It is a URL cloaking site and I am
a registered user. No matter how I try to access it nothing happens and no
matter how I try to access it from this computer it will only open a blank
page. I have been happily using it for sometime when suddenly 3 days ago it
acts as if it doesn't exist any more, I can open it and login in on another
computer and I have downloaded Firefox and can access it through that which
leads me to believe it is an IE problem. Really hope somebody can help with
this mystery.

Hi,
First, with the warning that a reset will delete autocomplete data, such as
passwords and you will have to reinstall browser add-ons, work through this
article:
936213- How to optimize or reset Internet Explorer 7:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936213/en-us

Next...
926431- Error message when you start IE7 or try to access a website:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/926431

Be sure to try this step:
Turn on the Windows Firewall from Control Panel> Windows Firewall and
disable any third-party firewall, security suite or other security programs
to see if a third-party program is causing the problem.

Hope this helps,
Don

Additionally...
This page plays a Flash presentation.

1. Test your Flash Player at http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/
2. Try uninstalling / reinstalling Flash Player. Use the uninstaller at
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157
Flash player download:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
3. From IE> Tools> Manage add-ons> Enable or disable add-ons> Show: Add-ons
that have been used by... > is Shockwave Flash Object enabled?
4. Check to see if a third-party program, toolbar or other browser add-on is
blocking scripts, ActiveX, active content, etc.

Um, so you want us to help you spam while hiding your affiliate status
in the URL?  Well, read what their home page says about their purpose.

"It is proven that many customers; when they see your affiliate link in
the URL bar, replace it with their own, and often even just cut it off!
This means, your hard work and marketing costs are being blown with the
customer RIPPING you off."

That was a good laugh.  Us customers are ripping off the spammers.  Good
one.

You might be getting a blank page because this spam site wants to ensure
that you allow painting of all banners.  If your browser, popup blocker,
or other security software is configured to block some content on their
page, it refuses to paint any of their page.  In fact, the browser will
get stuck in a script loop.  Check the status bar in the web browser to
see if you see a repeating and flashing alternating messages about
waiting for content and an iframe error.  Their server will continue
pushing more content until its script detects the banners.  Then, if you
do get their web page, and when you attempt to exit the browse (i.e.,
leave their web page), and is typical of a spammer, they attempt to open
a new instance of the web browser (via their ExitPOP() function) to show
an popup dialog and an exit web page trying to get you to subscribe.  Oh
yeah, real polite site ... not!

This site is appropriately named.  And you want help using a spam-help
site to hide the content of your spam URLs.
