Sorry for writing again, hope it is fine...
After resetting IE7 I found this problem:
in our intranet homepage there is a fastlogon: after clicking it we are
logged.
Now everytime I click I receive a connection pop-up, I select save password,
but it is useless... I don't remember how I fixed it before resetting IE...
I understand that it is not a "pure" IE7 problem, but it is caused by it...
I notice that it is not very "compliant" with our corporate procedures
(roaming profiles, system management...).
IE6 on XP was robust and mature... it looks like vista and xp ;-)

Exactly what I wrote:
after restarting the pc and loading the roaming profile, I solved the
problem below and I'm back with the crash on yahoo page (fyi I've no
toolbar)...

So now I should reset again IE7 and the infinite loop is ready....
yahoo.it crashing -> IE7 restarting -> autologon ko -> restart pc ->
reloading user profile -> yahoo crashing...
Let me joke: nothing to do with microsoftt's bid? :-)

Hi,
The reset probably changed this setting...
In Internet Options> Security> Intranet Zone> Custom Level> User
Authentication, try the two "Automatic logon" options. See if one of those
options works.
You may have to make the same change for Internet Zone.
Also, Control Panel> User Accounts> [UserName]> Manage network passwords...
you may have to clear stored logon data.
Hope this helps,
Don

Thank you very much, Don.
It sounds like a plan.
I will try this asap in the next days.
I am considering also to setup another browser, just in case ... :-)
