When I click a link on an email link on Vista Home Premium's Intnernet
Explorer 7 web page, it doesn't take me to Windows Mail. "Could not perform
this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed."
How do I fix this. When I go into Windows Mail Tools and Opations and Click
"Make Default" where it says "This application is not the Default Mail
Handler", it doesn't work. The button goes from black to gray and then when I
exit and come back in, the change has not been made.

Hi Melinda,

Start>Control Panel>Default Programs - Set program access and computer
defaults - Set your default programs.

Here you will find the setting for your default email program. This will be
used when you click on an email link.

Regards.

I've tried this and it doesn't solve my problem.

One or more options/settings in an ever-growing number of third-party
applications may be disallowing the change from "sticking". These include
but are not limited to Ad-aware's Ad-Watch, Spybot Tea Timer,
SpywareBlaster, SpySweeper, Spyware Doctor, CounterSpy, AVG Anti-Spyware,
Norton AntiVirus, McAfee VirusScan and/or Antispyware, NOD32, and Zone Alarm
(Free, Pro, & Security Suite).
