To reduce the space taken by toolbars I combine 4 lines into 2. Frequently
the settings are lost, shifting back into 4 lines. Occasionally the Google
Notebook bar jumps in. What's up with that?

Any suggestions?

Hi Vinturella,

Earlier versions of the Google toolbar are known to hijack the Toolbar
layout in IE (other toolbars too). Download the latest version of the Google
toolbar (beta 5 http://toolbar.google.com) to correct the problem or a
registry fix can be downloaded from

http://iecustomizer.com/?url=DisableGoogleBHODownload.asp

Regards.
