Can anybody suggest how to resolve the problem I have with saving
"Favorites".  For some reason yesterday all my saved favorites disappeared
and now IE7 will not allow me to save any URL to the favorites folder.

I saved them previously as a bookmark on a flash drive and now I cannot
import them.

How did you save them? Via File-Export to a file, or did you just copy them?

Hi Gordon, I exported them using the Import/Export wizard.

I have tried to add a new site in favorites and it will not save it so I
suspect trying to import them again will not work either.

Funny thing, all was working well and then suddenly my favorites list was
not there.

Well certainly try the import - if it doesn't work and there is an error
message, post that in full as it may well be instructive as to the problem.

I thought about what had happened prior to losing the favorites listing and
wondered if plugging in a Western Digital portable hard disk had somehow
messed things up.

A friend suggested using system restore (never looked that far into XP) and
I tried resetting the system back by a couple of days. Sure enough all is
there.

Appreciate your your response Gordon,

Thanks and best regards

Paul
