Attaching Word file adds x at the end

Everytime I attach a .doc file in my Yahoo email an x is added to the end of
the file.  Windows Vista Ultimate/Internet Explorer v7.0.6001.18000

That's the new Office 2007 file format......xlsx, docx, pptx. If you don't
want that, then do a "Save As" before sending the file....

If you are going to use the new XML document formats available in Office
2007 components then you should realize that not everyone else will
understand them until converters or viewers become ubiquitous in
non-Microsoft applications.
